NASA: "Holy SHIT we found life!"

BRILLIANT! NASA today is planning on announcing that it has found liquid water on a moon of the planet Saturn.
And where there is liquid water, there is life.

Why is this so brilliant, other than the fact that NASA is suffering budgetary cuts, and this will spur interest in all things NASA?

Well, can you imagine, what you can get away with while the world is looking at it’s first glimpse of Extra-Terrestrial life?
You could NUKE Iran and Iraq and kill a few school kids in lower Slobobia, in front of video cameras, and the world would go.. “Damn it get back to the little green men already!”

So tune in to CNN and watch as NASA makes history.. (just don’t watch anything else for a while.. and you’ll be okay.. unless you are on that list that Bush carries around in his pocket that is)

The existence of liquid water alone isn't evidence of life. It's simply evidence that life possibly could exist there.

Besides, we've found possible evidence of microbial life on Mars before - a meteroite in 1996. Wasn't ever fully decided if it was extraterrestrial in origin or earth-contaminated.

I know but it reads so much better my way..

I read all the studies of the meteroite and I think my jury is still out.

It was not the living bacteria that was found but fossilized remains of what looked like bacteria.. and that just wasn;'t enough to proclaim Eureka.

I have been betting for a decade adn a half tht life will be found on Europa (A Jupiter moon, also with evidence of liquid water) but I see no NASA plans int eh works to get there anytime soon.
